Business Development Officer

Job Description

We’re hiring a Business Development Officer to drive global expansion.

You’ll be responsible for generating leads, closing deals, and working closely with the marketing team.

Your primary focus will be on data annotation services, with additional opportunities in AI consulting.
This is a remote role with tools and support provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage potential clients in key regions (US, UK, East Africa, Nigeria) with a focus on high-growth sectors like retail, healthcare, autonomous systems, and AI startups.
  • Conduct cold outreach campaigns through email, phone, and LinkedIn to generate new sales leads.
  •  Actively source and qualify opportunities through online platforms such as LinkedIn, Upwork, Clutch, Sortlist, and relevant B2B marketplaces.
  • Initiate and lead sales conversations, deliver presentations, and follow up persistently to close deals.
  • Work closely with marketing to create and refine sales materials, proposals, and pitch decks.
  • Develop and manage a structured sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring accurate tracking of all deals and follow-ups.
  •  Collaborate with internal teams (tech, operations) to ensure client requirements are
    captured and addressed in proposals.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to identify new opportunities for
    Annotiq’s services.
  • Maintain relationships with closed clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.

Responsibilities

  • 2–4 years of B2B sales experience
  •  Strong communication, negotiation, and outreach skills
  • Proven experience closing high-value projects
  • Knowledge of retail, healthcare, or AI sectors is a bonus
